Hello, fellow Amanda!
Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney! The new
World of Color—ONE nighttime spectacular is completely gorgeous, I'm so glad you're planning to see it! Let's talk logistics.
There are three ways to get a viewing spot for World of Color—ONE: by joining the virtual queue, reserving spots at the World of Color Dessert Party, or by making a reservation for a
dining experience. There is no additional cost to join the virtual queue for the show, and you can definitely join the virtual queue just in case your dining location runs out of viewing tickets before your reservation time. I've never had that happen, but luck favors the prepared! You can always leave the virtual queue once you've arrived at your dining reservation and confirmed that you'll be able to do the World of Color package. Making reservations for an earlier dining time also helps to make sure there will still be World of Color packages available.
If you decide to join the
virtual queue you'll want to have the
Disneyland Mobile App ready to go a few minutes before the queue opens at noon. Here's how to join a virtual queue in the app:
- Tap the three horizontal bars in the bottom right corner
- Scroll down to select "Virtual Queues"
- Select "Join Virtual Queue"
- Tap to select "Disney California Adventure Park" at the top
- Select World of Color—ONE
The queue will open exactly at noon, so it's a good idea to set an alarm to remind you!
As an additional option, it looks like the
World of Color Dessert Party just became available to book for your dates. This is one of my very favorite experiences at the Disneyland Resort! Each member of your party will get a selection of cheese, fruit, and desserts to enjoy at a table in a completely reserved viewing area. So no stress about getting a spot!
Whatever delicious choice you pick, I hope you enjoy seeing how one drop can make a beautiful wave! Have a magical trip, Amanda!
Keep moving forward!
Amanda
