Welcome back to planDisney, Sandy!
This is the perfect time of year to vacation in Florida, although, with the cold snap we’ve had lately, I feel like I’m back in Michigan. No worries, though, there’s no snow in sight!
Since your travel dates are flexible, explore the
Special Offers on the Disney Cruise Line website under the “Plan a Cruise” tab. You can save up to 35% on select sailings. I utilized one of these special rates on my Alaskan cruise last summer. You will want to check the site regularly because discounts and offers are subject to change. I find that Mondays are when new dates are added.
Two departure ports are conveniently located in the Sunshine State:
Port Canaveral and
Port Everglades. Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship, the Disney Wish, embarks from Port Canaveral to the Bahamas for three- and four-night sailings. If you prefer a longer Caribbean adventure, the Disney Fantasy offers seven-night sailings. The Disney Dream, sailing from Fort Lauderdale this winter, has three-, four-, and five-night voyages to the Bahamas and the Caribbean.
Most of these itineraries stop at Disney’s private island,
Castaway Cay. The island has everything you'll need for a perfect beach day, including plenty of lounge chairs, umbrellas, towels, and a delicious BBQ lunch. Best of all, your favorite shipboard amenities, like the entertainment staff, move to the island for a day of non-stop fun in the sun!
Sandy, I hope you will consider returning to planDisney with more cruise questions. We are standing by, ready to help!
SEAS the adventure!
