In the winter it's dark earlier, can we still see characters after 5pm? Especially if it had been rainy during the daylight hours and characters weren't out?

Hi Lauren! Thanks for dropping by planDisney.

Which of your favorite Characters are you most excited to meet? It changes for us from trip to trip, but getting a hug and a photo with Mickey or a Princess is always one of the highlights of our family trips to Disneyland Resort. One of the things I love about some of these Character spots is that they feature a Disney PhotoPass photographer, who can capture the moment. The whole group can be in the photo. As the person who usually takes the photo, that means a lot. We've even used the Disney PhotoPass photos for holiday cards. They always turn out great and make for great mementos!

There is a handy tool on the Disneyland mobile app to locate Characters and see the hours they'll be greeting Guests. These times are subject to change. Pull up the app and select the map. Change the selection at the top to "Characters." This will bring up Mickey Mouse icons throughout the parks. When you tap on an icon, you'll see what Characters can be found in that location and the times they can be expected to make an appearance. Some are wandering and some spots are Meet & Greets.

While I can't guarantee this will be the case on your visit, today it looks like several Characters will be greeting Guests in Town Square on Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland Park after 5:00 PM Pacific Time. There are later Character Meet & Greet times in Disney California Adventure Park too in several locations.

Explore the app and have the best time meeting your favorite Characters!
