Hi Paul!
We are so excited to hear you have a Disney cruise on the horizon. Captain Mickey is sure to UNCORK lots of fun for you during your sailing on your
Disney Magic at Sea itinerary. Seeing as how this is a brand new offering, Disney Cruise Line has made some changes to how to make reservations for certain activities and entertainment. So I am more than happy to help you with these details.
The
Disney Magic at Sea Experience Updates page has some very useful information about making reservations for premium activities before you set sail. Specifically, the
Beverage Tastings are included in this category, and these reservations may be made in advance either
online or through the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. The caveat is that you must have your cruise paid in full, and it will be open according to your Castaway Club level. Platinum members can 120 days prior to sailing, followed by Gold members 105 days out, then 90 days before sailing for Silver level, and 75 days prior to sailing for first time Disney cruisers.
The Stem-to-Stern Wine Tasting is one of my favorite tastings offered by Captain Mickey, so I wholeheartedly approve of your wanting to try this one. During our wine seminar on the Disney Wonder, the sommelier actually did the tasting blind and then accurately guessed where each of the wines was from, down to the actual winery. It was quite impressive and very entertaining, which explains why these seminars fill up very fast. So go ahead and book these as soon as your Advance Booking Window opens (determined by your Castaway Club level).
Raise another glass filled with a question if you need more planning advice from us. We are always happy to pour refills! Cheers to you and wishing you a MAGICal cruise, Paul!
