The wine & dine half marathon is a 10 pm, will there be decent viewing spots for my little ones & husband? The are 4 & 1 and most likely won't make the entire race. And any tips for that weekend?

HI Mary!  The Wine and Dine half marathon is my favorite runDisney race!  I really enjoy running at night, and the post-race party is always a great time!

The course for the Wine and Dine begins in front of the Wide World of Sports.  Really, the only viewing areas will be along Osceola Parkway, and not readily available to guests without their own transportation.  For this reason, this is the one race that my children don't go to watch me.  Plus, they are usually snoozing away back in the room before the race even starts!  My husband and I run it together and consider it a "date night"!!

Some tips for the race:  1) Be sure to do a "practice training run".  I would try to simulate the race night as closely as possible with time of start, diet during the day, and racing clothes.  This way you will be confident going into the race.  2)  Avoid lots of fiber and other foods that could upset your stomach a couple of days before the race.  3)  Take a nap on race day!  You definitely want to be charged up and ready to run and enjoy the post race party.

I hope this helps you plan.  Please let me know if you have any other questions.
