Hi Marisa! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Your high seas adventure is almost here. The Disney Fantasy has fantastic Caribbean itineraries as well as a stop at my favorite tropical paradise,
Castaway Cay. Ah, I can practically feel the sun on my face and the sand between my toes just imagining being there!
Alcoholic beverages onboard Disney Cruise Line are subject to an additional charge. But there are ways to stretch your Disney dollars in the most advantageous way with a Beer or Wine Package.
Two ways to sign up for a beverage package: pre-purchase through
Onboard Gifts & Amenities OR you can purchase it once onboard. Most times, I just wait until I'm onboard to figure out my preference. Naturally, Captain Jack would do the opposite and want to sign up early. Too bad for him that RUM is not a beverage package!
Another idea would be to carry beer and wine onboard with you. Each adult 21 years of age or older can carry on two bottles of unopened wine or champagne (750 ml or smaller) OR six beers (12 ounces or less) on embarkation day and at each port. Just make sure when
carrying alcohol onboard, you follow the steps outlined. When you arrive at the port for embarkation, keep any wine or beer in your carry-on luggage with you and NOT in your checked luggage. I have to make a confession: I goofed on one of our first cruises and packed wine in my checked luggage. Believe me, I will NEVER make that mistake again.
Now that you're all shipshape on the beverage options, cruise back by if you have any additional questions. Happy Sailing!
