Hi Edward,
Great to hear from you again! Your trip is getting really close now.
I'm sorry it took me a couple of days to respond, but I wanted to check with some of my fellow panelists who have been at Walt Disney World this week to see what they could add. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to visit for a couple of months, but hope to remedy that next weekend.
Panelist Allison V. said she saw lots of signs about the movie this week on the Disney transportation, and I know there is at least one Planes billboard in Hollywood Studios. But Allison didn't see any special Planes activities except for cast members handing out little wooden airplanes with the movie logo on them in front of Once Upon a Toy at Downtown Disney.
The only official thing I've seen is an announcement on the Disney Parks Blog about the
Planes merchandise locations at Walt Disney World and Disneyland.
I'm sure the film will still be showing at the
AMC Downtown Disney 24 theaters at the time of your trip. If you haven't seen it already, it's always fun to catch a new Disney movie during a Disney vacation.
One other thought: Keep an eye on the
Limited Time Magic announcements as your trip gets near. Those special promotional events that pop up for a short period this year have sometimes been themed to new Disney films. Announcements often are made on Fridays for the next week.
Wish I could be more definitive for you, Edward. Please check in with me again before your visit if there's anything else I can try to help with. I hope you have a wonderful time. Enjoy!
Wilma
