    Hello Wilma, My wife & I will be in Animal Kingdom on Sat., 02/01/14. Can you tell me if the Lion King show will be operating that day? Thanks 4 days til WDW!!

    There are lots of exciting changes happening at Animal Kingdom. Since you are such a fan of Walt Disney World, you may already know that construction has begun for the new Avatar-themed land in what was Camp Minnie Mickey. The Disney Parks Blog recently had an update on the happenings there.

    As a result, the Festival of the Lion King show is relocating to a new home in the Africa section of the park. The show went on hiatus Jan. 6 for the move and will return sometime this summer. I can't wait to see it in its new home.

    My other favorite show at Animal Kingdom, Finding Nemo -- the Musical, continues several times daily at the park, so I hope you will take time to see that on your visit. It always makes me smile and tear up a little a the same time.
