Hello Wilma, My family & I will be having dinner at the 50's Prime Time Café in Hollywood Studios on 09/07/13. Is this a self-service buffet or does the waitress bring the meals to you? I prefer the latter. Thanks, 12 days til WDW!

    Hi again, Edward,

Not only do the servers bring the food to you at '50s Prime Time Cafe, they are a key part of the whole experience. The theme here is comfort food, served as if you stepped back to your mom's, your aunt's or your grandma's house a few decades ago.

The servers wisecrack and remind you to mind your manners in a fun way. We've had some fabulous fun here interacting with our servers. We still talk about the time almost 10 years ago when server "Cousin Jimmy" made my husband go stand in the corner when he was caught shooting his straw paper at one of our girls. It was hilarious for the girls to see their dad "get in trouble", and my husband played along like a good sport.

I'm partial to the fried chicken. It does remind me of my mom's and my grandmother's. My husband can't resist the meatloaf. Or you can go for the sampler with a little fried chicken, a little meatloaf and some pot roast. Yum!

I hope your family has a great time with all the restaurant family. You might just have an experience to talk about for years to come.

Let me know if I can answer any other questions for you. You are just days away!
