Hey Linda,
Welcome to planDisney! I’m so glad you’re here to get answers for your upcoming Walt Disney World visit! Every visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth is worthy of a little planning.
Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is a fantastic choice for your stay. It’s super close to Magic Kingdom and themed around the rustic majesty of America’s Great Northwest. This resort is inspired by turn-of-the-century National Park Lodges and while you’re there I know you will soak in the splendor of the great outdoors.
I’m thrilled that you’ll take the time to experience
Whispering Canyon Café during your stay. You’ll chow down on all-you-care-to-enjoy western fare. This casual restaurant is known for the shenanigans and sass from cast members who love to horse around. However, you’ll be happy to hear that if you’d like to skip the sass you certainly can – just let the host know when you check-in that you’d prefer to be seated in a quieter area so that you can opt out of the shenanigans. You’ll also want to notify your server after you’ve been seated. Keep in mind that the restaurant will still be pretty exciting due to the games and antics happening around you, though. Advance dining reservations are recommended for this experience, so be sure to book it 60 days prior to your arrival date via your
My Disney Experience app.
While you’re visiting, I hope that you have plans to attend
Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. With you staying so close to Magic Kingdom, it would only make sense to attend! This specially ticketed event is such a fantastic way to celebrate Halloween during the spooky season. Guests will have the chance to experience enchanting entertainment such as Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade, Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular, and the
Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular. They’ll be given fun party bags to trick-or-treat throughout the park and everyone (including adults!) can wear fun costumes. Additionally, select popular attractions will include spellbinding surprises like fun Halloween-inspired overlays and music. Guests will also be able to purchase party-exclusive merchandise as well as specialty treats, food and beverages at select quick-service locations throughout the park. This event is so much fun – I hope that you’ll get to experience it! Tickets are available now for
Disney Resorts Collection hotel guests.
