Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, it’s my family’s favourite Disney Resort hotel in the world! We loved it so much that we became
Disney Vacation Club Members at Copper Creek Villas & Cabins. The thing we love most is the peaceful atmosphere, whilst still only being a short boat ride away from Magic Kingdom.
The lobby really is amazing, and I completely understand why you would want a room that opens out towards it. Some of the room numbers known for opening out towards the lobby include 4081-4090, 4073, 5081-5089, 5071-5073, 6082-6087, 7095 and 7096.
Now, the “Bear Face” is one of those great Disney details that makes staying at a Disney Resort hotel extra special. If you stand outside at the rear of Wilderness Lodge, looking back towards the Resort from the pool or Bay Lake side, the shape of the building and windows creates the hidden perspective of a bear’s face. Once you see it, you really cannot unsee it!
My top tip would be to consider booking a
Specialty Fireworks Cruise from the dock at Wilderness Lodge. Before watching Happily Ever After out on Seven Seas Lagoon, your guide will take your party for a trip around the water and point out some really fun locations. I will not spoil them all for you now, but they will often point out the Bear Face, and out on the water is my favourite way to see it!
For me, these are some of the best parts of staying at a Disney Resort hotel. It is not just the room or location, but all those details created by Walt Disney Imagineering that you notice throughout your stay, and all over
Walt Disney World.
