Is the Wilderness Lodge a good pick for a 2 year old (26 months) or are there better options?

I think you're in luck--traveling with such a young child--Sarah, because at two, your child will likely not be swayed by resort theme.  More likely to matter is the size of the resort and the Wilderness Lodge is perfect because, while it's large, it's not one of Disney's most sprawling resorts and you should find it very manageable for getting around with a little one.  The only resort I would possibly favor would be the Animal Kingdom Lodge.  Similar in size and layout to the Wilderness Lodge, the Animal Kingdom Lodge features some savanna rooms.  I imagine that your two-year-old would be in awe of seeing giraffes and zebras grazing each morning just off the balcony of your hotel room.  If you can swing it, I'd prefer the Animal Kingdom with a toddler, but if not, the Wilderness Lodge will be an ideal home away from home during your travels.  Enjoy!
