Hi Bill!
Welcome back.
While I don't know if I'm qualified to carry the title of "Wilderness Lodge expert," I certainly am a Disney's Wilderness Lodge enthusiast and aspire to learn as much as I possibly can about this magical place! In fact, I was just there last week and learned more about renting bikes at Teton Boat & Bike Rental. I also discovered that in the past month Roaring Fork started serving Mickey waffles with some truly delicious toppings. Be sure to check those out when you visit.
But, back to your question... My family has eaten at Artist Point and we dined in the stunning indoor dining room. The
Disney website describing this restaurant notes that an outdoor terrace is available, but we have not experienced it firsthand. We ate there in July and it was just too hot to eat outside. If you do eat inside, the dining room has lovely windows on two sides of the dining room. If you get a table close to the windows facing Bay Lake, you'll enjoy a delightful view of the pool and the courtyard in general. There is no need to make a table request when you call to book your dining reservations at (407) WDW-DINE. (Advance dining reservations are highly recommended). Just make your table preference known at the registration desk when you arrive at Artist Point for dinner.
Have a lovely dinner!
Jill
PS. I didn't get the chance to answer your previous question about room service at Disney's Wilderness Lodge. I've only ordered room service once in all the years I've stayed at this resort. The food I ordered was tasty, warm, arrived on time, and was pleasantly presented. However, my experience with room service is not very extensive because I just love the restaurants at this resort too much. I'd much rather eat there than in my room.
