Does the Wilderness Lodge have a "coffee house" where hubby and me can just chill while enjoying our java? It's one of our secrets of staying married for 22 years: personal coffee time! THANKS!

Hi Catherine! I'm giggling as I read your question, because my hubby and I are also "coffee" people and enjoy our "coffee time" each and every morning!  We owned a coffee shop for several years and have become connoisseurs of sorts.  People laugh at me, because it is not uncommon for me to travel with a Keurig and coffee grinder... even to Disney!

While there is no coffee shop at Wilderness Lodge, you will quickly fall in love with all of the relaxing, cozy places two adults can enjoy a cup of java.  There are big comfy chairs situated around the warm, rustic lobby...my favorite spot being right in front of the ginormous fire place.

Coffee is available at both Whispering Canyon Cafe and Roaring Fork Food Court, but if you are anything like me, you may not find it up to par.  I would recommend bringing some standard size basket coffee filters and your favorite ground coffee from home.  You'll be able to buy sugar and half and half at Wilderness Lodge Mercantile when you arrive.  The guest rooms are equipped with mugs and a coffee pot, so you will be able to brew a fresh, hot cup of your favorite joe to enjoy amidst the beauty of the "Great Northwest."

If you really crave an Espresso drink in the morning, a great option is the Kona Island Cafe at Disney's Polynesian Resort. Here you will find Lattes, Mochas, Double Shots, and the works.  To get there, you'll need to hop a boat launch to the Magic Kingdom and then take the Monorail to the 3rd stop.  The Kona Island Cafe is located on the 2nd floor.

Another option is Contempo Cafe located in the Contemporary Resort's lobby.  Contempo has a real coffee house feel and offers all of your high-octane favorites! To get there, simply hop the boat launch across Bay Lake to the Contemporary Resort.

Hoping you have a magical vacation! -Amanda
