Going to wilderness for first time with my family. Wanted to know if we need to brings lights? When I call I forgot to ask they said remember fans and extention cords. We will be in tents. Can we buy ice?

Hi Herminia! When you are planning a camping trip it is easy to forget to ask all the questions that come up.

Disney's Fort Wilderness Campground is a unique resort in that there are recreational vehicle sites, tent sites, and rustic cabins. There are two loops dedicated to tents or small pop up top trailers. There will be one or two comfort stations for your use which include shower facilities, bathrooms, ice machines, and laundry machines. The ice machines provide 7 pound bags for $2.00. You can also purchase ice at either of the two Trading Posts in the resort.

Each camp site is equipped with a grill and picnic table. You will have access to water and electricity so the extension cords are useful. If you are camping in the hotter months the fans are very important. Flashlights or lanterns can provide your light at night but many campers spruce up their sites by hanging light garlands around the shrubs and trees or tents. If you do this make sure they are outdoor certified and safe.

The Trading Posts will also have basic food and supplies available to purchase if you forget something. No matter how well you plan it is sometimes impossible to remember everything. Have a great time at my favorite Disney resort. It provides such a peaceful atmosphere after busy days in the parks.
