Just got the wild idea to come to WDW in January 2013. Where should we stay? Party of 6, 4 adults, 2 kids (4 and 9). Grandma uses a scooter and 9 yr old uses wheelchair. Stayed at Wilderness Lodge previously and loved it. Maybe the contemporary resort?

    Hello, Andrea!

January is a fantastic time of year to visit Walt Disney World! (Especially with the New Fantasyland expansion opening up in December! Woo hoo!)

As you get further away from the New Year holiday, the crowd levels quickly minimize, and the weather is often temperate, too!

If you are looking for accommodations which allow easy access to Magic Kingdom, then I highly recommend Disney's Contemporary Resort. You simply can't beat the proximity to the park as well as the ease of getting there, especially if you're on wheels! Having so many dining options readily available, either in that resort or in others which are also on the monorail line, is a wonderful perk, too. Don't forget to consider Contemporary's adjacent resort, too, Bay Lake Tower

Other beautiful monorail-accessible resorts are Disney's Polynesian Resort and Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Each of these resorts is not only luxurious in her own right, but also offer unique theming, shopping and dining options as well. Your whole family will be thrilled with a stay at any of these resorts.

Have fun planning! And don't forget to send more questions as you think of them; we love to help!
