    Is the Wild Africa trek hard to get reservations for? How far in advance should I make reservations? I noticed there was a discount offered ending Oct 17. will there be anything offered after that? My trip isn't till 10/28/15.

    Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms. As luck would have it I just booked a Wild Africa Trek for the beginning of November. My family is so excited for the up close views of crocodiles, hippos and cheetah andl have a couple of PhotoPass photographers alongside us to capture every magical moment. My co-panelist Erin has the details on this trek..

    I know it would be great to take advantage of the special summer offer to save $50 but alas that promotion does end on October 17, 2015. When I spoke with the Cast Member tour specialist (407-WDW-TOUR / 407-939-8687) today to book my reservation, he told me there is a 15% discount available for this adventure after the summer special ends and is reserved for Disney Chase Visa Card holders, Disney Vacation Club members and Walt Disney World Passholders. However, you must join an afternoon tour (any tour beginning at 11:30 a.m. or later). Similar discounts in the past have been from 10%-20%. He also said the further out from your desired tour date the more likely you will get your tour time. There are several tours per day so I would not worry about missing this experience. I would suggest making your reservation as soon as you know what day you want explore the Safi River Valley. Fortunately, there is a 48 hour cancellation policy in case your plans change.

    So unleash your wild side and enjoy this trip into the heart of Africa, Disney style.
