How much does the Wild Africa Trek cost? And do you get to get close to other animals then hippos and crocs? Do you get a private tour over the savanna to see elephants and lions? Or do you just hike to see the hippos and crocs?

    Hi Jamie!

My family and I were fortunate enough to experience the Wild Africa Trek in June!  At that time, the cost was approximately $189 plus tax, per guest.  Admission into the Animal Kingdom Theme Park is also required.  You will need to wear closed toe shoes, be at least 45 pounds and eight years old.  This experience requires a lot of walking, so I highly recommend comfortable shoes and loose fitting clothes.  The trek begins with a like through the forest to view the hippos - they are HUGE!  Shortly after, you cross a precarious rope bridge that is draped across the hungry crocs below - my favorite part of the entire adventure!

If you make it safely across the bridge, you are taken on a private safari vehicle to view the animals on the savannah.  During our trip, we were lucky enough to see tons of animals - including the elephants and lions.  You are then treated to a gourmet picnic in a covered oasis in the middle of the savannah.  Worth every penney!

    Much pixie dust,
