With the wild Africa trek are children allowed? Really want do it but as part of our group there would be a one year old? I know there is a rope bridge to go across but just wanted to check

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Kerry-anne!

Wild Africa Trek is a way to experience Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park like never before! This three hour tour will have you roaming with wild animals as you navigate your way across the varied terrain of this safari-like adventure.

Due to the physical nature of this unique trek, there are requirements in place for the safety of all participants.

    - Participants must be in good health and free of high blood pressure and any back or neck ailments.

    - Participants must be comfortable with heights, have physical stamina and be able to negotiate small hills and varied terrain.

-Most importantly, participants must be at least 8 years old, be at least 48 inches tall and weigh at least 45lbs with harness gear on.

For more detailed information on the Wild Africa Trek, select the highlighted link above.

Unfortunately, your little one would not be permitted to participate. Disney is wild about safety for all park guests and this experience would not be safe for your little prince or princess. However, they are permitted to ride on the Kilimanjaro Safari attraction, which will still get you up close and personal with the majestic animals of Africa.

I hope this information is helpful in your planning, Kerry-anne! Please do not hesitate to ask any additional questions you may have. We are here to help!

    Have a magical vacation!
