    Hello Moms! We wil be at AKL in June 2013. Are the laundry facilities at AKL still only coin operated? Trying to see if I need to add quarters to my packing list. Thank you!

    Hi Anne! Each of the Disney resorts on property will have a 24 hour laundry self service facility. They are still coin operated and each room will have a change machine for you to get what you need to start the machines up. I think taking some quarter rolls is a great idea just in case a machine isn't working. There will also be a vending machine for laundry detergent so you won't have to bring your own in your luggage.

    Don't forget that Disney also offers for a fee some laundry and dry cleaning services. Anything that is deposited with the front desk by 8/8:30am can be back by 5pm on the same day. It is a bit costly but you can't beat the convenience of not having to do it yourself and take time away from the parks!
