We wiil be at Disneyworld for the4th of July Holiday this year. If a park has reached its maximum attendance and we have dinner reservations within that park will we still be allowed to enter that park?

    Hi, Bernice!

We've spent the 4th of July holiday at Magic Kingdom twice in the last several years, and, on both occasions, the park was eventually "at capacity," so this is a very good question!

I called Walt Disney World Dining, at (407) WDW-DINE, just to see what they think about this, and was told that there are varying levels of park closure due to crowd levels.  At the lowest levels, the park may be closed, but is still open to guests staying at a WDW resort or for those with dining reservations or Annual Passholders; at the highest level, the park is closed to any guest attempting to enter, regardless of passes or reservations.

The best advice I was given was to try to be in the park early enough so that you will not need to worry about park closure prior to your dining reservation.  While you did not mention which park you'll be trying to get into that night, I can tell you that the most crowded park, in my own experience, has been Magic Kingdom, since their firework display is so very different from what they show at any other time of the year.

Have a wonderful vacation, and a spectacular 4th of July!  You're going to love it!
