Hiya Chytasia!
Welcome to planDisney, it's great to have you aboard!
While I love disconnecting on a cruise,
Disney Cruise Line does offer internet packages for those who want to keep in touch with what is happening back on the shore. Currently, guests have the option to purchase packages that include up to four devices. You can choose whether you want to purchase separate packages for individuals in your party or purchase a package with multiple devices that share the same login details. You'll be able to see all your options once you are on the ship!
Did you know that guests don't need to purchase an internet package to use WhatsApp and iMessage for texting? That's usually enough "connectivity" for me to get by on a cruise! You can also chat with family and friends on the cruise with you using the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App, which includes the cutest Disney emoticons! Kids who have a
mobile device can also use the app, and they don't even need their own account. Once you're onboard the ship the app will prompt you to link your stateroom, and then you'll have access to the onboard activities schedule and the chat feature! If your kids are under 13 they will need to get a pin number from the primary guest in their stateroom to use the chat feature, just to keep everyone safe.
I like to download the app long before my cruise because when you link your cruise reservation you can access an adorable cruise countdown timer that tells you exactly how long it is until embarkation day. It's so fun to watch and see the Disney characters in the countdown change as your cruise approaches!
I know your cruise is still off in the distance, Chytasia, but that means you still have plenty of time to plan! I hope you'll come back and visit planDisney again if you have any more questions.
Keep moving forward!
Amanda
