    is there wifi in fort wilderness cabins or on grounds. can you get a taxi to grocery store

    Hi Mary!  Fort Wilderness certainly does have Wifi on property for their guests. If you have any questions about this service please be sure and ask them during your check-in process.

    You can have the front desk call for a taxi for you but please understand that they are not permitted beyond the front of the resort. You will need to take the internal bus to the front lobby building and then the internal bus back again to your cabin. If you have a large amount of groceries this can cause some difficulties. You can ask for assistance for help in delivering your food at the front desk but your best bet is to actually use a grocery delivery service.

    The one that I use is gardengrocer.com. They have excellent choices for food and other items on their site and you simply register and pick your delivery date and time. They do fill up so don't wait too long to select a date. If you have not checked into your cabin they will store the items as well as keep perishables safe until your cabin is ready. If it has cleared being serviced and you have not arrived they will still deliver your food and have it in the cabin waiting for you. It is so easy and thus why I suggest you use the service versus trying to take a taxi to a grocery store. A taxi will not be inexpensive and your time and efforts is also worth something when you use a delivery service!
