1/How is WiFi for the duration of the cruise 2/ do Disney cruise have beer package ?

Ahoy there Tanya, it's always great to see fellow Canadian cruisers here at planDisney!

Having lived and worked at sea for over a decade, it sounds like you've nailed two of the biggest questions that aspiring sailors and fellow seafarers alike tend to ask when they plan on staying on board a ship for any period of time. I'm happy to impart some of my nautical knowledge to you today in the hope that this will help prepare you for your upcoming sailing this summer!

    1. As far as wireless internet at sea goes, I think it's safe to say that so many of us today find it very important to be able to stay connected to everyone back on land. Keeping in mind that you're inevitably still floating away on the open ocean, the various vessels in the Disney Cruise Line fleet have wireless internet packages available that may vary between ships and they typically come at pricing levels that reflect how much internet you'll need at sea. This can range from very minimal usage to quickly check your email, to being able to post photos on social media or even stream video of a sporting event that you're missing at home; these are often priced for the length of the voyage or for a 24-hour period. You'll be able to determine the offerings and pricing once you board and join your ship's wireless network, but always keep in mind that internet availability and consistency of the connection can never be guaranteed and is always subject to change without prior notice. If you're concerned about keeping in touch with other folks on board, the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App has a useful chat feature that will allow you to stay connected between sailing guests without requiring the purchase of an internet package!
    2. As for any alcoholic beverage packages including beer and wine, you currently won't find these available on any Disney Cruise Line ship; this is why many seasoned sailors know to bring their beverages of choice in their carry-on luggage on embarkation day, so be sure to review all of the policies if this is something you might want to do! You might also be interested in some Adults-Only beverage tastings which are informative sessions which will allow you to responsibly enjoy a selection of drinks in one of the onboard bars or lounges. (In my experience, the combinations and concoctions were definitely generous and intense so I would absolutely recommend not attending these on an empty stomach or you might end up feeling like Dumbo seeing pink elephants on parade - no one wants to end up staggering around on deck like Captain Jack Sparrow!)
I hope that this helps you out Tanya, you're always welcome to come back to planDisney to ask any more questions from your friendly neighbourhood Canadian sailor on the team, or connect with our Disney Cruise Line specialists Tracie and Adrianna!

May your internet connection be strong, and your beverages refreshing on your upcoming cruise!
