Welcome to planDisney Tom!
One of the things I love about heading out to sea is that my family can enjoy a vacation without all the phone and computer distractions. However, I totally understand that sometimes you need to
stay connected to work or family back at home.
Disney Cruise Line offers different
internet packages through Connect@Sea once you board the ship. Prices are going to vary based on plans, usage, and your specific cruise. In general, prices start at about $19 for 100mb and go up from there. Packages and pricing are always subject to change. Wifi speeds will not be what you are used to at your home or office, but hopefully it will be enough to get you through the basics of checking in with your pals back on land.
When on the ship, flip your phone to airplane mode and use the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app to chat with your travel crew while on board. Message your cruise pals individually or create a group chat. The app will be your "go to" for all that is going on during your cruise including entertainment schedules, menus,
Port Adventures, and all you will need to know about signing up for your wifi with Connect@Sea.
You might want to check with your cell phone provider to see what your international options are. With my cell phone plan, I am able to use my phone in international ports for a small daily fee. Each plan will be different, so check on what your personal plan includes.
Let's hope you have plenty of time away from devices to enjoy your cruise! Book a delicious brunch at
Palo, treat yourself to a cone at
Eye Scream Treats by the pool deck, relax by the
pool, or simply lounge in your stateroom and order complimentary
room service. Captain Mickey and his crew have so much planned on each sailing that there is something for everyone. Bon Voyage!
