Hello Ricky, and welcome to planDisney!
I am excited to hear that you and your family will be joining the
50th Anniversary Celebration this summer. Now that your vacation is 60 days away, it’s time to start putting the finishing touches on your plans. When you start making your dining reservations, keep in mind the limited-time offerings in the
50th Anniversary Sips and Bites Guide. You will find several entrees, desserts, snacks, and drinks that will only be offered during the World’s Most Magical Celebration.
Disney’s MagicMobile Service allows Guests to access their plans in My Disney Experience without the use of a
MagicBand or Admission Card. While you are in the parks, if your wife and your parents will always be with you, the information stored in your Apple Wallet should be sufficient. Although, I would recommend that you text them their passes in an iMessage so they have access to their passes as a backup. If you are all Guests of a
Disney Resorts Collection Hotel, they will need their pass to unlock the door to your room, if you are not with them.
Another alternative is to stop by any Will Call or Ticket Window at the Main Entrance to any theme park and get them an Admission Card. This card can be used just like the MagicMobile pass and would allow them to have access without using their smartphone. Your decision will come down to what they are comfortable with using. You can still use the MagicMobile passes stored in your Apple Wallet to redeem any Genie+ or Individual Lightning Lane experiences and to capture any PhotoPass photos to add to your Memory Maker account. If anyone has an active MagicBand from a previous trip, they can use it as an option as well.
I hope this helps with your planning and good luck with selecting your Advanced Dining options. If you have any more questions before you arrive, please come back and visit us again.
See ya real soon,
Andrea
