Hello again, Mike!
Thanks for coming back to planDisney with another question!
Celebrating your wife’s birthday with a trip to the
Disneyland Resort?! How magical! Disneyland and birthdays go together like Mickey-shaped pretzels and mustard! You can have one without the other, but they're better together!
Here are a few suggestions to make her birthday extra special! First, stop by
Guest Relations for a complimentary birthday button! Cast Members love to join the celebration by wishing Guests a Happy Birthday! Feel free to ask for an “I’m Celebrating” button for yourself! You’re celebrating with her, right?
If you’d like to make a special dining reservation, I suggest brunch at
Lamplight Lounge in Disney California Adventure Park or lunch at
Blue Bayou Restaurant in Disneyland Park. Both restaurants feature unique decor and a lovely view of the water. Make your dining reservation on the
Disneyland website or the
Disneyland Mobile App up to 60 days in advance.
Does your wife like relaxation? Why not book her a spa treatment at
Tenaya Stone Spa at
Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa?! I love scheduling a pedicure at the salon. But they also offer massages, facials and more. Next, it’s time to head out for a fancy celebratory dinner right next door at
Napa Rose. Don’t forget to order the housemade focaccia to start. It comes with a trio of dipping sauces and is melt-in-your-mouth delicious. For an extra special treat, book the chef’s table experience! Check out
this answer from my friend and fellow panelist,
Tishra B, for more information on how to book this experience.
Lastly, make sure to take plenty of pictures to commemorate your trip! If you purchase Disney Genie+, you'll enjoy unlimited downloads of
Disney PhotoPass photos including those fun photos taken on attractions! Also, make sure to take advantage of the Disney PhotoPass Photographers! They are always willing to capture special images for you! For an extra special surprise, request a Magic Shot! You never know which character will make an appearance in your picture!
I hope your wife has a wonderful birthday and an unforgettable visit to “The Happiest Place on Earth!”
Tiffanie
