Hi David!
I was six when I first visited Walt Disney World Resort, and I fell in love with a big plush Pluto that we saw while waiting for breakfast at a different resort hotel one morning. My parents said no because they didn't want to have to carry it around all day, and they were sure we'd see it later. Of course we didn't and we spent the rest of the trip searching for that one lovable pooch, where I'm sure I acted like a mature and reasonable miniature person.
Now that I'm the parent, I absolutely love that when staying at a
Disney Resort Hotel guests can send almost any purchase made almost anywhere across the entirety of Walt Disney World Resort back to their resort as a convenience, but also as a way to avoid inflicting any unnecessary childhood traumas. Food items are exempt from being able to be 'sent back', including the
prepackaged non-chocolate goodies like the Chip and Dale Snack Co pretzels or cheese crackers or my husbands favorite, the Disney Main Street Popcorn Company flavored popcorn. Everything else, from clothing to toys to jewelry to collectables can be sent back where it will wait for you to pick it up at the package pickup area, usually found in your Resort Hotel's gift shop.
Bonus Tip: Your vacation is going to be perfectly timed with the
transition of Fall to Winter decor! Make sure to check out Disney's Hollywood Studios at both the beginning of your vacation and after a few days as Santa's Elves get to work on this park basically as soon as they are done trick-or-treating.
We'll See You Real Soon, David!
