Hi, my wife and I are visiting in October. We would like to see the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue. I know you can get there via a ferry from Magic Kingdom. Do you need park admission to Magic Kingdom to ride the ferry or is it free?

    Hey there, Michael!

Welcome to planDisney! It sounds like your planning is off to a great start. The Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue is an absolute blast, and the food is pretty great too! Be sure to save room for that famous strawberry shortcake. It is so delicious that it has its own celebration during the show!

Before you can start dining, dancing, and singing along, you'll need to get over to The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort for the big show. I am happy to report that Guests with Disney Resort hotel or dining reservations can use complimentary Disney Transportation to get to their destination, and you won't need to enter the park to use the ferry. Here's what you need to know! If you are traveling from a Disney Resort hotel, you can get to the Magic Kingdom by bus, monorail, or boat (depending on your resort transportation options). Once you arrive, you'll be able to use the resort water taxis to get to Fort Wilderness. There will be signage to ensure you are in the right spot, and when in doubt, be sure to ask a friendly Cast Member! They will be in the area to help direct you to the correct water taxi. I also want to mention that you should plan to give yourself at least an hour to get to Fort Wilderness just in case there are any travel delays. If you plan to arrive by car and park at the Magic Kingdom, you will take the ferryboat to the park. Then you will transfer to the resort's water taxi. If you are using your own vehicle to get to the Magic Kingdom, I recommend opting to park at Fort Wilderness! Parking is complimentary for Guests with a dining reservation, and this will be a major time saver!

Michael, you can also choose to use a ride-share like Lyft to get to the Hoop-Dee-Doo. This is a great option if you are looking for a direct route to the show. And if you're looking to make the night extra special, consider a Minnie Van! This whimsical ride is driven by a Disney Cast Member and is one of my favorite ways to get around Walt Disney World. You can schedule a Minnie Van through the Lyft app, and they can drop you off steps from the show!

I hope your upcoming adventure is magical!
