Hi Samuel! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
Thanks for bringing your question to me. I am super excited for you and your wife to
visit "The Most Magical Place on Earth!" My husband and I had a wonderful getaway, just the two of us, earlier this year. It was so nice to be able to go at our own pace as we enjoyed visiting our favorite vacation destination. You and your wife are in for such a great stay!
I have great news for you, Samuel ... getting around the Walt Disney World Resort with a motorized scooter, or
Electronic Conveyance Vehicle (ECV), is a breeze! On our last visit, we actually saw a couple with two scooters traveling together. They were both able to get on the
Walt Disney World complimentary bus transportation at the same time with no trouble at all. The only time that traveling on the buses could be a problem is if it is during a very busy time and there are a lot of scooters waiting to board the bus. Scooters get to load first, so it is only an issue if there are more scooters ahead of you. But since buses run approximately every 20 minutes, you shouldn't have to wait too long for another bus if it is super busy.
With
attractions, some simply allow you to use your scooter in the regular queue line and some ask if you can park your scooter and walk. If you are unable to walk, they will help with arrangements to get you through the line. You will find that the Cast Members are very helpful, because they have a lot of experience with Guests using scooters. There are a lot of them in the theme parks!
I hope this helps, Samuel! Enjoy "scooting" your way around your vacation. Please let us know if you have any other questions!
