Hi, my wife uses a non-collapsible walking stick. Can you take these on rides and if not, where would she leave this when boarding the ride?

Hiya, Ian! I'm so glad you found the second star to the right and followed it straight on to planDisney!

I'm so excited to hear that you'll be headed to Walt Disney World Resort soon! There's surely magic waiting for you around every corner with The World's Most Magical Celebration in full swing. But the best magic of all is spending quality time together with people you love - such as your wife! Ian, I'm happy to let you know that your wife will absolutely be able to bring her walking stick with her on most rides and attractions.

My best piece of advice would be to speak to the Cast Member before entering the queue. They'll let you know if she's able to bring her walking stick with her on that particular attraction. If not, she'll be welcome to leave her walking stick with the other wheelchairs and scooters, and it will be ready for her once she exits the ride. To be extra safe, I'd make sure that her walking stick is labeled with her name and phone number to help easily identify it. You can even add a little Disney flair to help it stand out!

I'd also love to give you some resources to make the most out of your trip together. One of the things I love most about Walt Disney World Resort is how accommodating and accessible it is to all people. First, take a look at the Services for Guests with Disabilities, specifically for Mobility Disabilities. This can give you an idea of what accommodations are available to you! If you have any specific needs related to your visit or your resort, you are also welcome to reach out to a Cast Member by emailing disability.services@disneyparks.com.

While you're putting the finishing sprinkle of pixie dust on your magical vacation, I have a few more tips for you! First, be sure that you've made your Theme Park Reservations using the Disney Park Pass system. This is an important step to reserve the parks you wish to visit on each day of your trip! Also, take a little time to download and explore the My Disney Experience app before your visit. This app feels a little like holding your own magic wand in your hand, unlocking everything that Walt Disney World Resort has to offer! You'll be able to check wait times for attractions, view park maps, and even mobile order food. This way, you know your meals and snacks will be ready and waiting for you before you ever feel a rumbly in your tumbly!

I hope I was able to help you today, Ian! Please visit us again. After all, you've got a friend in me!

    To infinity and beyond!
