My wife and I are traveling to Disney Dec. 24th-30th and we have a little one. He will be 16 months and I was wondering is it worth it to get the dining plan. My wife and I love to eat out but how hard is it and can they eat off your plate for free?

    Hi Patrick!

The dining plan is wonderful, especially for foodies like me!  I love the freedom of choosing a table service restaurant for every dinner while on vacation.  Children under 2 can eat off of your plate in any restaurant and they eat for free at any buffet restaurant.  Make sure you let the hostess know your child is under 2 before being seated.  My son was a little restless at 16 months, but we brought activities for him to play and some of the restaurants we chose have fun interactive games for the kids to join in on.  'Ohana's is my favorite restaraunt at Disney World and they have a coconut race for the kids during dinner.  Whispering Canyon Cafe has a horse race that your little one can participate in.  He can dance and around the restaurant at Donald's Safari Breakfast.  The options are endless!

Mark your calendar for 180 days before your vacation so you can make your dining reservations and secure your spot at your favorite Walt Disney World restaurants.

    Have a magical day!
