Ahoy, Joseph, and welcome to planDisney! There's something especially enchanting about sailing through the Mediterranean with Disney Cruise Line. The beautiful ports of call in Italy pair perfectly with the activities, entertainment, themed dining, and distinctly Disney fun you’ll enjoy aboard the ship.
Joseph, your cruise from Barcelona, as well as most other upcoming European sailings, will not include fireworks. However, you can still look forward to all the other fun that comes with
Pirate Night, which is currently scheduled for Day 4. There will be special entertainment, a themed dinner menu, lots of Guests wearing pirate costumes, and more. It's a lot of fun, even without fireworks. I see there's also a formal night scheduled for Day 2 and a semi-formal night for Day 6.
If you haven't already, look into the
various port adventures available to book in advance. See the ruins of Pompeii, climb the Leaning Tower of Pisa, take a cooking class, sail along the Amalfi Coast, and even learn how to be a gladiator – those are just a few of the unique shore excursions that you can book for an additional cost.
Of course, there’s so much to do
on the ship as well. The Broadway-style shows are absolutely amazing, and there are plenty of onboard activities that will keep you busy in the best way. My planDisney pals and I love a good silent disco session and a friendly trivia competition. You will be able to view times and locations for activities and get details on other aspects of your sailing in the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. Board the ship, connect to Wi-Fi, and pull up the app to view the latest information.
Joseph, I hope you and your wife have the trip of a lifetime this summer. If you think of any other questions ahead of embarkation day, please reach out – we're always happy to help here at planDisney.
Your pal,
Kriss
