Wife and I are thinking of booking dvc villa @ Grand Floridian, concern of ours is distance from villa to monorail, what do you think, hard to tell from map——Dan/ Dolores, DVC members since 92’

    Hello there, Dan!

Thanks so much for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I'm more than happy to help!

Since you and your wife have been Disney Vacation Club Members since 1992, I'm sure you've had more vacations to Walt Disney World Resort than you can count! So I don't have to tell you how amazing Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is, I'm sure. But I can tell you that The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa are absolutely beautiful. It's definitely one of my favorite Disney Vacation Club resorts, so I know you would have a wonderful time staying there. As for the walk to the monorail, it's really not that far at all. If you are used to staying at places like Disney's Old Key West Resort, then it might be equivalent to being in a villa that you would say has a longer walk to the bus stop. In other words, it's not a hop, skip and a jump, but it's certainly not a bad walk. Plus you get to enjoy views of the beautiful resort on your way. I hope that makes sense!

If you decide to try it out, I hope you enjoy your stay and make some more magical memories. Please let us know if we can help with anything else. Happy planning!
