My wife is temporarily disabled and will require to rent an electric scooter. We will be driving to the Magic Kingdom. How do we get from the parking lot to the entrance of the MK to get the scooter?.

Hey there, Jim, and welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by the panel with your question! Your Walt Disney World Vacation is only a month out, and it’s great to see you here putting the finishing touches on your upcoming visit! I think a visit to Walt Disney World is the perfect way to escape the cares of the outside world and become a kid again.

Jim, each Theme Park parking lot has a Disability Parking Lot available to Guests with mobility disabilities. These lots are located short distances from the Theme Park main entrances. Additionally, there are courtesy wheelchairs available in these parking lots for Guests who need assistance getting to the entrance. If you park in the standard parking lot, courtesy parking lot trams are available to transport Guests closer to the Theme Park entrance. If needed, you can ask for a space at the end of the parking row to be closer to the tram pick-up/drop-off area. I also recommend speaking with a Disability Services Cast Member at (407) 560-2547. There may be additional services available to you and your wife to assist in making your visit as magical as possible!

Electric Conveyance Vehicles (ECV) rentals are available at each of the four Theme Parks, Water Parks, and Disney Springs for Resort Guests. ECV rentals are available for an additional fee and are provided on a first-come, first-served basis. The rental locations are right inside most of the park entrances, so you won’t have to go very far to grab your ECV. ECV rentals are only available for use while in the Theme Parks (or other locations noted above) and must be returned as you exit the location.

I hope this helps, Jim! If you have more questions while planning your Disney Vacation, stop back by and let me know
