My wife and I are taking our two boys (13 and 8) to Disney in early November as a suprise. We would like to stay in a more reasonable property. My youngest son loves baseball and football. Any ideas?

    Eric:

If sports are what your boys are interested in, then All-Star Sports fits the bill--for BOTH of you!  The buildings "sport" large icons of two-story surfboards, baseballs, mits, and all things sports.  Plus, it's one of Disney's Value Resorts and will leave you with enough money to splurge on a few souvenirs (and maybe tickets to catch a game at the Wide World of Sports Complex)!

My favorite part of staying at a Value Resort is not only the theming, which only Disney can do, but also the free transportation to the parks that is continuous throughout the day!  I've never understood why folks would choose to "save" by staying off property when Disney offers resorts that fit budget travelers like me—and I don't have to work my schedule around only a few pickup/dropoff times like those offered by an off-property hotel.

Take a look at it on the Disney website, and let us know if you have any questions planning the rest of your trip!

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
