My wife and I will be taking our twelve year old to walt disney for the first time this summer, what would be the best days and the best package to get?

    Roland:

If your definition of "best days" means low crowds and "best package" means most economical, I would recommend going as late in the summer as possible!

If your back-to-school dates can handle it, the closer to mid-August the better when it comes for crowds (they begin tapering off after July 4th).  And for prices, August 9 begins value season (and a significant drop in room rates) not to mention that free dining begins August 16 when you purchase both a room and park tickets.

Rooms are limited for free dining, so if one resort does not have any more rooms with the free dining offer, just ask the Disney agent to try another resort.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
