Hi Aleta! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
November is a great time to
visit with your family! The weather is usually pleasant, Christmas decorations make “The Most Magical Place on Earth” sparkle with holiday cheer, and events like
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party are already in full swing. The thought of it makes me want to grab a cup of eggnog and start planning my own November trip!
My first piece of
FastPass+ advice is to find out how tall the 6-year-old is. Since many of the more thrilling rides have the longest wait times, they are great uses of FastPass+ selections! They are also the attractions have height requirements, so it depends on how tall the kiddo is to see if everyone can ride the attraction together. You will want to speak with your son about the 6-year-old’s thrill level tolerance as well. If thrill rides are too intense, then you may need to stick with the more low key rides and shows.
In
Magic Kingdom Park, I usually aim for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Peter Pan’s Flight, and either Big Thunder Mountain Railroad or Splash Mountain for my family. Meet Mickey Mouse at Town Square Theater may also be a big hit with the family! Over in
Epcot, Frozen Ever After, The Seas with Nemo & Friends, and Spaceship Earth are my top choices. In
Disney’s Hollywood Studios, I would choose either Slinky Dog Dash or Toy Story Mania!, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, and one of the shows (For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration is great!). And for
Disney’s Animal Kingdom, try for Kilimanjaro Safaris, Na’vi River Journey (since the 6-year-old probably isn’t quite tall enough for Avatar Flight of Passage yet), and a show like Festival of the Lion King.
While these are my top choices and work well for my little ones, I definitely recommend having the family look over all the attractions to see if they have any special ride, show, or
Character requests. Getting input from everyone in your party can really help put a solid plan together!
Enjoy your visit, Aleta! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
