Hi Jason!
Taking the plunge with a trip to Walt Disney World? Bravo...that deserves a standing ovation! I cannot wait to hEAR what you think of “Drawn to Life” presented by Cirque du Soleil & Disney. Did you know that you and your wife would be some of the very first Guests to experience it?
Described as a love letter to the art of Disney animation, this inventive show is slated to make its debut in early August. I have had the good fortune of seeing several Cirque du Soleil performances, and they are spellbinding! But never one that has been in collaboration with Walt Disney Animation Studios and Walt Disney Imagineering. After watching this preview video that was shared on the
Disney Parks Blog, I was blown away at the acrobatics and the artistry. Now I am just like you in my enthusiasm to see “Drawn to Life!
Once on the
Disney landing page for “Drawn to Life”, you will be redirected to a third party site to purchase tickets. Tickets are showing as available for purchase beginning August 1, so that's good news. However, Cirque du Soleil says they are still working on the protocols and security measures for resuming their shows. At this time, I’m not certain what these protective measures will be, so I’d suggest that if you contact Cirque du Soleil directly for further information.
My last bit of Disney Parks Moms Panel advice: purchase tickets for the desired night, but have a Plan B in case for any reason the show gets postponed or canceled. A wonderful idea would be dinner at one of the many outstanding restaurants at
Disney Springs. I’m partial to
The BOATHOUSE and
Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’. Of course, fingers crossed that “the show must go on” and you get to have both dinner AND a show!
As you wait for the curtain to rise on your Disney vacation plans, have an encore with the Disney Parks Moms Panel if you think of additional questions. Our cast of characters is always happy to help!
See ya real soon!
