My wife and I are taking our 8, 5 & 3 on a 3 day cruise this thursday the 26th of March. Will the Oceaneers Club allow my 8 year old to enter with my 5 & 3 year old. They will want to stay together.

Congratulations on your upcoming sailing aboard the Disney Wonder!

Did your 8 year old have a recent birthday? Youth Activities will sometimes allow children to participate in the younger age group for various developmental reasons or if the child is close in age. For example, a 10 year old would be unable to participate in the ages 3-7 Oceaneer Club but some discretion may be allowed for a young 8-year old. This decision is at the discretion of the Youth Activities Counselors. You should certainly inquire as to whether this is an option for your family.

My son is an only child and has enjoyed all of his experiences in the Oceaneer Club and now at the age of 9 in the Oceaneer Lab.

You will find that activities within the Club and Lab are then broken down into appropriate age groups. On the Wonder, these groups are ages 3-4, 5-7, 8-9, 10-12 and teens. For example, while the youngest cruisers are making Clarabell's Moo Juice, the 5-7s might be enjoying Slide Time.

Many activities between the 3-4 year olds and the 5-7 year old children also overlap. For instance, they might all participate in parachute games at the same time.

In addition, there are many activities around the ship that the entire family can enjoy together. A few favorites include swimming, watching shows on the Ariel View screen and attending a movie.

My advice is to make sure that you've registered your children for the Youth Activities program. Then, once you are aboard the Disney Wonder, visit the Oceaneer Club to inquire about your eldest child's participation.

    Enjoy your magical voyage
