Wife and I staying at Port Orleans Riverside. Do buses pick up at resort and take you to the transportation center to get a bus where we want to go? Are there many stops along the way? Not sure how to plan transportation to make dinner reservations.

    Hello Ken!

If you haven't used the Disney Transportation system in the past, it's seems very hard to grasp exactly what to expect. Think of it as a mass transit system that is world class... The bus system takes you to specific parks and resort hotels. If you are at Port Orleans and want to go to Epcot, then a bus will drive you there directly without a stop. If you are trying to get to another resort, then you will need to go to the ticket and transportation center or another park and transfer to the corresponding resort's bus. The most stops that I have witnessed when returning from a park was three at different resorts. If you have a dining reservation, I would try to leave at least an hour prior to the reservation. If it's during a busy time of the year, allow for an hour and a half. Here is a link which explain the transportation system in detail. I hope you and your family have a Magical Time at the Walt Disney World Resort! If you have more questions, we are always here to help! Thanks so much for asking the Moms Panel!
