My wife and I are staying at the Grand Floridian in December for her 40th birthday. She thinks we are dining at V&A's Queen Victoria room but I actually got the Chef's Table. Is the Cinderella Chocolate Slipper Desert too much if doing the Chef's Tab

    Hello, Rich,

What an amazing surprise you have for your wife's 40th birthday!  The Chef's Table at Victoria and Albert's is beyond description.  It is just that incredible!  She will be treated like royalty for her special occasion, and you get to enjoy it right along with her.  When I think back to when we dined there last year, I truly can't imagine adding the Cinderella Chocolate Slipper Dessert to the meal.  While it is a wonderful and kind gesture, I think you find that you have plenty to enjoy with the 12 courses.  In fact, not only will you have dessert, but you will also have a service of chocolates and candies at the end of your meal.

Prior to you reservation, you will be contacted by the restaurant to inquire about any food allergies and celebrations and such.  During this conversation, you can share your thoughts about adding the special dessert to get their opinion, too, if you'd like.  It might help you to hear if they have done this for other guests and how it went.

Wishing your wife a pixie-dusted surprise dinner and happy birthday! -Kara
