My wife and I are staying with friends who are DVC members in their DVC-booked room. We both have MagicBands and historically use them to charge purchases from park and hotel. Can we still use magicband to pay while staying in the room with our friends?

    Hi Brad! Welcome to planDisney.

Welcome home with your pals at Walt Disney World Resort. I often have my friends and family stay with me on my Disney Vacation Club stays. They, like you, enjoy the ease of using their MagicBands and MagicBand+ to make purchases and enter the theme parks. Here is my suggestion based on our experience.

If you would like to avoid sending your charges to your pal's credit card linked to the hotel stay, I advise you to stop by the front desk. The Cast Members will assist in verifying your charges are directed to your credit card. Alternatively, each charge you make with your MagicBand will be listed with your name on the hotel folio. You can always square up with your travel mates at the end of your stay.

Be sure to take advantage of your 30-minute Early Theme Park Entry to all four theme parks. This will grant you access to those most popular attractions before the theme parks officially open. Disney Deluxe Resorts and Villas are also eligible for Extended Evening Theme Park Hours on select nights at select parks.

    Keeping it Magical,
    Cindy
