    My wife and I have somehow set up two different ‘My Disney’ accounts. Somehow, one of my sons is on my account and one is on hers. We are trying to merge our my disney accounts. If we merge, will that affect our tickets and/or reservations purchased

    Welcome to planDisney!

    As the person who plans all her family’s vacations, I understand the importance of having one My Disney Experience mobile app that holds everyone’s information. It just makes things a lot easier!

    The good news is that “merging” accounts shouldn’t affect your tickets and reservations. First, you’ll want to choose the account you’d like to keep. In this example, let’s say you’re moving everything over to your My Disney Experience mobile app. To do this, open your wife’s My Disney Experience mobile app and tap the three lines in the lower right corner. Scroll down to “My Profile” and once selected, tap over to “Family & Friends List”. Scroll down and make sure that “Yes, share my Family & Friends List” is marked. Next, press the “My Profile” tab and select “Show My Linking Code”. Stop when you see the QR code.

    Now, you’ll want to go to your My Disney Experience mobile app, tap the three lines in the lower right corner, and scroll down to “My Profile”. Select “Family & Friends List”, then scroll to “Add a Guest”. On the next screen, you’ll see a few options, choose “Scan their linking code”. Now, you’ll want to scan your wife’s QR code that I mentioned above. Once scanned, this should automatically add her and your son to your My Disney Experience mobile app. All their reservations should flow over as well, cool right! 

    To confirm that all the reservation information came over, you’ll want to check your “Tickets and Passes” section of the app. If for any reason your family's information didn’t come over, you can always reach out to the My Disney Experience and MagicBands help desk. A Cast Member should be able to work some magic to bring over their information. Once everyone is linked in one account, you might want to deactivate the other account so this doesn’t happen in the future.
