My wife and I share one email address and one profile. For purposes of friends and family and other succh links, now do we create a special virtual wife ID?

Hiya Wesley! Welcome to planDisney. We’re so glad you stopped by!

Oh boy, your visit to Walt Disney World will be here before you know it! You must be getting so excited; I know I would be! I know that the last few weeks ahead of any trip can be exciting but also a little bit hectic as you iron out all of those trip details and make sure you are ready to take off on the adventure of a lifetime. Well, worry not, my friend! We are here to spread a little pixie dust to help make your trip planning experience as enjoyable as possible. It is vacation, after all!

Linking your party together in your My Disney Experience makes planning your Walt Disney World vacation a breeze! Not only can you book Theme Park Reservations and Advanced Dining Reservations for your party, but you can also secure your Disney Genie+ selections as a group for your days of fun in the park. It sounds like you and your wife share one My Disney Experience account, which is perfectly fine! However, you will need to add her manually as a member of your Friends & Family List. This way, you can still list her as an individual member of your party for reservations, link tickets, MagicBands, etc., all without her needing to sign up with a separate email address.

To do this, all you’ll need to do is follow these simple steps:

    • First, log into your shared My Disney Experience Account.
    • Then, open the menu by clicking on the three stacked lines in the bottom right corner.
    • Scroll down and click on “My Profile.”
    • Next, toggle over to “Family & Friends List” and click on “Add a Guest.”
    • From there, select “I’ll enter their name and age,” and you can add your wife manually.

Once complete, your wife will now show up as a member of your party, and you can start adding her to your plans.

While I have you, Wesley, I just wanted to quickly remind you to secure your Theme Park Reservations. Keep in mind that you will need to make a reservation for the first park you plan to visit each day. Then, if you've purchased the Park Hopper Option, you can hop over to another park after 2 p.m. each afternoon. Unfortunately, parks do get booked up, so it’s important to secure your reservations as soon as possible to avoid missing out on your preferred parks.

I am so excited for you to visit Walt Disney World. You will have such an amazing time, especially since you will be visiting during The Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration! Please visit us again soon with any other questions you may have!

    See you real soon!
