My wife set up our kids magic bands for our first trip and for our next trip she wants me to take over managing their magic bands but I am struggling to find out how to transfer them over to me. We are all linked together in friends and family please help

Hey there, Hi there, Ho there, Aaron!

Welcome back to planDisney! I’ll be more than happy to help you gain access to managing your little Mouseketeers for your upcoming visit. Once you have access, you’ll be able to do the same things your wife has in the past. Things like booking Lightning Lanes, scheduling dining reservations, and of course, viewing their MagicBands. Since the MagicBands have already been linked to your little ones, there’s not much more you need to worry about! The one important piece you don’t want to forget is their chargers! Make sure to pack them with you for your upcoming visit. I’ve noticed that the charge holds fairly well, but I still like to charge them regularly, just in case.

Now, let’s get started with having your wife give you access to managing your little ones. First, she will need to log into her My Disney Experience account and select “My Family & Friends.” Once there, she'll select the child’s profile, and as she does that, she will also need to select “Friends & Family List" on the left side of the screen. After that, she scrolls down until she finds your name and clicks on “Send Invite.” This invitation will allow you to manage the child’s account once you have accepted the invitation via email. Don’t forget your wife will need to complete these steps for each one of your Mouseketeers.

At this point, you all should be ready to go! If you are still having difficulty connecting as one of the account managers, you’ll want to reach out to a Cast Member. They will be more than happy to double-check and help with any other technical issues. Tip: Before calling, I recommend logging out and back into your My Disney Experience account, this will usually do the trick.

Aaron, once the technical stuff is completed, you can get back to planning all the important stuff. If you want to schedule dining reservations, I recommend our new family favorite, Tusker House! It’s a wonderful combination of delicious food and even better company! My youngest can’t help but dance along.

Again, I hope this helps do the trick. If there's anything else, you know where to find us!

    Have a great trip,

    Shantel

Hi ya Pals! I'm Shantel, an Army wife and mom of two. I grew up going to the parks, and now we're sharing that tradition with our kids. When I am not visiting the Walt Disney World Resort, I'm at home researching and planning for our next trip. One of my favorite things to do is search for new snacks to try, especially if they are Mickey shaped. I'm definitely living the dream my heart wished for! I cannot wait to answer your questions and help make your vacation even more magical!
