My wife and I are both senior citizens. We don't have the appetite that we used to. At which locations, if any, may we order from the kids' menu or Mickey check meals at WDW at any time through out the day? Fast food, table service, walk up?

    Hi Brian,

Welcome to Walt Disney World!  I'm so glad you asked this question.  Many Guests wonder the same thing and there are a few strategies to ordering smaller portions.

You will be able to order anything you want from the menu at the Quick Service locations and snack carts.  This does include ordering a kid's meal.  For a Table Service restaurant you may inquire with your server if it is possible to order from the children's menu.  They might decline your request, but usually the servers have excellent suggestions as an alternative to ordering large portion meals.  If you are unable to order from the kid's menu, or if those menu items do not appeal to you, then consider splitting an entrée with your wife.  One adult could order the entrée while the other orders something small such as soup.  Both of you could then share everything that is served.  Another option would be to order smaller items such as appetizers, soups and/or salads as your meal  The only place in which this wouldn't apply is a buffet since they are a set price for an adult regardless of the amount you eat.

I hope this information helps you with your vacation planning Brian.  If you have any more questions please ask them here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  We love to help!

    Blessings,
