My wife and i are returning August 2013. I would like to have a romantic evening dinner to celebrate our anniversary and there will be no children with us. we are staying in the Caribbean Resort. thanks

    Hi Leland,

Happy anniversary! My husband and I often celebrate our anniversaries at Walt Disney World, so I'm happy to offer a few suggestions for a romantic, celebratory dinner.

Narcoossee's at the Grand Floridian -- We've had a couple of wonderful special occasion meals here. The restaurant also offers a great view of Wishes fireworks at Magic Kingdom.

Artist Point at the Wilderness Lodge -- I just love the atmosphere of this entire resort. We celebrated my husband's birthday here last year and fell in love with the food and service.

Jiku at Animal Kingdom Lodge -- Another anniversary favorite. The food is delicious and it is fun to stroll the grounds before or after dinner and see the animals on the savannah.

The Dining Room at Wolfgang Puck Grand Cafe at Downtown Disney -- This is a beautiful, elegant room above the regular Grand Cafe.

The Flying Fish at the Boardwalk resort -- After a special meal here, you can stroll along the Boardwalk or check out the piano bar at Jellyrolls.

(California Grill is one of our favorite special occasion spots, but it will still be closed for renovation during your visit. Put it on your list for next time!)

If you don't mind going inside a park, you might consider Le Cellier or Monsieur Paul at Epcot. I can recommend Le Cellier but haven't had the chance to dine at the new Monsieur Paul yet.

Another thing my husband and I like to do is to eat in the wine bar in the Italy pavilion, Tutto Gusto. It has an intimate, casual feel. Then we walk among the other countries, enjoying dessert or after-dinner drinks and Illuminations.

I hope that gives you enough ideas to choose an anniversary meal that will be just right for your and your wife. You can see menus and pictures of the restaurants on the Disney website. And feel free to write back if I can offer any other help. Enjoy this and many celebrations to come!
