Hi Michael! Thanks for dropping by planDisney.
Congratulations on your upcoming anniversary. I know it will be a special one because I love celebrating special occasions at Disneyland Resort! My husband and I have celebrated our anniversary in the theme parks, so I have some ideas for how to make the day extra magical.
Yes, absolutely get a complimentary
Celebration Button from City Hall on Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland Park or Guest Services in Disney California Adventure Park. When you're wearing a Celebration Button, you never know what magic might happen! Even if it's just Guests and Cast Members wishing you the best day ever. Plus, your buttons will be a fun souvenir.
My favorite way to celebrate is with a special dinner. You've got great choices at Disneyland Resort. I recommend
Napa Rose in Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and
Carthay Circle Restaurant on Buena Vista Street in Disney California Adventure Park for elegant dining experiences. Or what could be more romantic than dining in perpetual twilight?
Blue Bayou Restaurant in New Orleans Square is an immersive dining experience in Disneyland Park. The boats from Pirates of the Caribbean will float right by, while you enjoy Cajun-inspired cuisine. Or you could book the
World of Color - ONE Dessert Party for a special way to experience my favorite nighttime show, combining spectacular entertainment and treats in one swoon-worthy party.
You'll want to preserve your memories of the day with a photo taken by one of the talented
Disney's PhotoPass Photographers you'll see throughout the parks. Maybe your anniversary style is a romantic picture in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle in Fantasyland at Disneyland Park or maybe your love is out of this world and needs to be celebrated with the Millennium Falcon in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge as your backdrop. Add a pair of wedding-themed Mickey Ears to amp up the anniversary theming for your special picture.
If you want a romantically classic memento of your day, try a couple's silhouette cut by hand by one of the artists at the
Silhouette Studio on Main Street, U.S.A. at Disneyland Park. It's an affordable souvenir you'll treasure forever. We've made a tradition of it and have a whole wall filled with family silhouettes.
I hope this gives you some good ideas. Have a magical day!
Elizabeth
