Hello. My wife and I are planning to come to Disney in October/November. Do you know when the park transforms for the holidays (post-Halloween)?

Hi there, Brandon. Thanks for taking the time to visit us with your question. Welcome to planDisney!

I’m excited to hear you and your wife are planning a trip to the Happiest Place on Earth later this year. The weather in Southern California is absolutely wonderful during that time. If you were to ask me to choose a favorite time of the year to visit the Disney Parks between Halloween and Christmas, I would have a hard time deciding! The decorations of both holidays make me grin from ear to ear, but I also enjoy the seasonal treats! As you know, magic happens all the time at the Happiest Place on Earth – including the transformation from one season to another. In the past, the magical makeover happens practically overnight, typically in early November. Most years, right around Veterans’ Day, holiday décor can be found in full force throughout Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park.

Disney Parks Blog recently posted articles marking “Halfway to the Holidays”. You can take a sneak peek at this year’s Haunted Mansion Holiday Gingerbread House at Disneyland Park. I cannot wait to see this in person! As you continue to plan your upcoming trip, I suggest staying up-to-date with all the park happenings by checking Disneyland.com and Disney Parks Blog periodically.

If you have additional questions as you continue planning your trip, please don’t hesitate to visit us on planDisney again.

    See ya real soon,
    Kiki

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

Greetings! I have been fascinated by the magic of Disney since I was a little girl; now that I am a mother of two, I love watching my children experience Disney Parks through their own eyes. I am also surrounded by fellow Disney-loving nurse friends whom I enjoy quick adults-only Disneyland Resort escapes or Disney Cruise Line voyages with. Whether you are planning your once-in-a-lifetime family trip or a short adults-only getaway to the Happiest Place on Earth, I am here to help!
